Although Microsoft exceeded expectations in the first quarter of the year, there was an unsettling decline in Windows and device sales. The Surface hardware family, which brought significant revenues to the company for a long time, also took its share from this decline. Microsoft is going overhaul in the hardware division.

Blow to the surface part

Last week, it was discussed that Microsoft will no longer produce keyboards, mice and webcams under its own brand and will focus entirely on the Surface brand after the remaining stocks are exhausted. There was a new development this week.

Sources state that there will be cuts in the accessory production of the Surface brand. From now on, there will be no single keyboard production under either Microsoft or the Surface brand. It will be possible to access these products only within the Surface keyboard-mouse sets.

Since Microsoft has not made an official announcement, it is not known how extensive the cuts will be, as there are decreases in the sales of Surface computers. In this wing, the possibility of interruption of one or two models began to be voiced.
