Microsoft has announced that support for the Windows 10 21H2 version released in October 2021 will end soon and users will have to upgrade to version 22H2 by force. Windows 10 21H2 will reach end of service life on June 13, 2023.

After that date, the operating system will not receive security updates. The software giant will initiate an automatic upgrade to 22H2 for all consumer versions to keep devices safe. This update will be available on Windows Update shortly.

“Use Active Hours feature”

Microsoft representatives suggested that users take advantage of the “Active Hours” feature, which allows them to choose a convenient time to install updates. It should be noted that this setting can be accessed through the Windows Update menu.

The company recently announced that 22H2 will be the last major update for Windows 10. Microsoft will release only security updates until October 14, 2025, when the official support period for this version of the operating system will end.
