Microsoft made the same mistake once again
In a support note, Microsoft shared, “Some hardware that does not comply with Windows 10 and Windows 11, version 21H2 was inadvertently offered an upgrade to Windows 11. These ineligible devices did not meet the minimum requirements to run Windows 11. failed to complete the transaction.” he explains the situation.
Microsoft had caused a similar error last year, but differently, computers that were not compatible with Windows 11 at that time were able to perform the upgrade. Windows 11 officially requires Intel 8th Gen Coffee Lake / AMD Zen 2 and higher processors, with a few exceptions. While there are easy ways to install Windows 11 on unsupported systems, Microsoft had started testing a new watermark a while ago on systems with such upgrades.
On the other hand, Windows 11 became quite stable and intuitive, especially after the 22H2 update. The upcoming Moment 2 update will also bring some redesigned sections to various parts of the operating system, including the taskbar. The Windows 11 Moment 2 update is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
