While the US military could spend $21.9 billion over a decade on up to 121,000 IVAS units, the US Congress banned further orders of previous glasses in January after negative reports. Politicians had given Microsoft $40 million to fix problems and upgrade hardware. If the upcoming tests also fail, the US military may cancel the contract.
