Software giant Microsoft decided to change the application called Video Editor built into the Photos application in Windows 10. The company scrapped its standard tool and introduced Clipchamp, a modern web-based video editing application.

Users who try to open the older version of the app are greeted with a notification stating that the Video Editor is no longer available in the Photos app. For video editing, Microsoft recommends using Clipchamp, which it says is “free, powerful, and user-friendly.”

Clipchamp is more comprehensive

Powered by Microsoft Edge WebView and offering many advanced video editing features, Clipchamp stands out as a great option for those looking for more advanced tools. However, some users are disturbed by the elimination of the old video editor due to its simple use.
