Microsoft is closing vulnerabilities in Windows and other software with patch packages it releases on the second Tuesday of every month. As you know, yesterday was the second Tuesday of August and the company released a new monthly update as it always does.

This time, Microsoft developers eliminated a total of 121 vulnerabilities, including zero-day vulnerabilities. 17 of the fixed vulnerabilities are classified as “critical” as they cause remote code execution or privilege escalation.
Fixed two zero-day vulnerabilities
The software giant previously closed 20 vulnerabilities in the Microsoft Edge browser. Let us remind you that these are not included in the 121 vulnerabilities mentioned above. The company also fixed two zero-day vulnerabilities with the patch package it released this month.
It is stated that one of the vulnerabilities in question is “DogWalk”, which is actively used. The other zero-day vulnerability has the ID number CVE-2022-30134. This vulnerability, affecting Microsoft Exchange, allows the attacker to read the victim’s emails.
