Software giant Microsoft has made a small but effective fix that affects performance in its latest preview version for Windows 11. The company has taken an important step in eliminating one of the most common problems users complain about with the operating system.
Microsoft added ads to Windows 11 File Explorer
One of the problems with Windows 11 was that the right click menu was quite slow on some systems. The 1 to 2 second delay experienced when right-clicking was very annoying to users. Windows 11 build number 22572 made some improvements to speed up the context menu.
Users also felt the speed increase
Microsoft’s changes were also felt by users. Many people said that the right-click menu has become faster in the new build. There were even those who thought it might be the “placebo effect”.
Microsoft engineer Jen Gentleman, who made a statement on the subject, stated that the perceived speed increase is real and said, “We did some work with the 22572 to improve the context menu performance, I’m very happy to hear that it feels faster now.”
