Microsoft has placed ads in Windows 11’s Start menu
With the new preview update released for Windows 11, Microsoft added advertisement notifications to the Start menu of the operating system. Of course, this situation caused dissatisfaction among users. The company has been testing these ads since November 2022.

Users are extremely uncomfortable with this application, which was brought to life with the KB5023778 update, and they say that the place of advertisements is not the main menu of the operating system. One of its ads appearing on the start menu is about the OneDrive storage service.

It will be shown to more users in the coming months

Microsoft representatives, on the other hand, issued a statement stating that the ad display is currently limited to a limited number of users. The company also says that it will gather all the feedback on this issue and draw a conclusion based on it.

As we mentioned at the beginning, the software giant was already testing the ad display in question. This shows that it is quite serious about applying it to the operating system. Windows 11 Start menu ads will be rolled out to a wider audience in the coming months.
