Microsoft has integrated the DALL-E neural network, which can create any type of image from the typed text, directly into the Edge browser. The new feature is currently only available to a limited group of users. It will spread to wider audiences in the coming days.
The system, called Image Creator, is based on artificial intelligence-based DALL-E technology. The new feature will be available not only in the browser but also in the Bing search engine. The neural network that can generate images from text will be available as an extension in the browser’s sidebar.
Coming soon to everyone
The software giant says the system does not generate images of violence, nudity, weapons or other obscene content. As we mentioned at the beginning, the Image Creator extension for the Edge browser is already available for some users. It will be open to everyone at the end of October.
As you may recall, Microsoft recently introduced a new application called Designer. The application, which will be offered as part of the Microsoft 365 package, also has DALL-E integration. In other words, it can produce the desired type of image from the entered text.
