US-based technology giant Microsoft has received a new controller patent for the popular game console Xbox. The controller, which is currently unknown whether it will become a real product or not, seems like the players will have an experience they have never seen before with the LCD screen it will have. So what will this LCD screen do?

The LCD screen that will be added to the Xbox controllers, of course, is not designed for gaming in that small space. Microsoft seems to be designing this screen for use in matches. In other words, the player will follow on that screen whether the Xbox controller is connected to the console. It will also be displayed on this screen when pairing to the mobile device for the cloud gaming service.

The dimensions of the original remote will not change!

Microsoft will not change the dimensions of the original controller for the LCD screen it will add to the Xbox controllers. Instead, the company will reposition the buttons in the middle of the controller. In the backlit section with the Xbox logo, there will be an LCD screen.

Yes; We can say that the patent image we shared above is similar to the Dualshock produced for PlayStation. Sony has added a section to the top of the controller used on PlayStation 4, and this section has been used as a touchscreen. However, Microsoft does not seem to have such a plan for now. However, this may change. Microsoft can also make the LCD screen touchable and functional, just like Sony did.

You can see the Dualshock of PlayStation 4 with the controller used on Xbox Series X/S below:
