Thanks to the artificial intelligence doping of the US-based technology giant Microsoft, there has been a very strange development regarding the internet browser Edge, which has started to make a name for itself recently. It has been detected that Microsoft Edge transfers all the websites a user visits to an API owned by the search engine Bing. So why does Microsoft Edge do such a thing?
The issue, which was first on the agenda on Reddit, was considered as part of Microsoft’s move to follow the user. However, that was not the case. A feature that Microsoft tested last year and recently launched was not working as it should. As such, all the URLs that users navigate were transferred to the Bing API.
Fortunately, there is an easy way to avoid being tracked!
Let’s say you’re using Microsoft Edge and the creator tracking feature has already come to you. If you want to prevent this feature, which transfers all the URLs you browse to Bing, from tracking you, all you have to do is go to the settings section and disable the feature. So how will you do this?
- Step #1: Open Microsoft Edge.
- Step #2: Enter the Settings section.
- Step #3: Click on privacy, search and services.
- Step #4: Under Services, turn off “Show suggestions to follow creators in Microsoft Edge”.

Microsoft took action to fix the problem
The Verge sent bug reports it detected on Reddit and other platforms to Microsoft. A Microsoft spokesperson said they are aware of the reports and are taking action to resolve the bug. The problematic feature looks like it might work properly in the very near future.
