Microsoft is working on a new feature for the Edge browser called Drop. This feature, called Drop, allows sharing files and notes between devices with Edge, similar to AirDrop.

This newly revealed feature has an edge in the desktop version of the Edge browser and resembles a messaging app where you can only message yourself. Let’s take a look at the details and screenshots of the feature together.

In one of the screenshots we can see that Edge is showing how much space is currently being used in the user’s OneDrive account, which indicates that files sent via Drop are live on OneDrive and apply to your storage plan.

At this point, you might wonder why you wouldn’t use OneDrive directly, but that wouldn’t be the same as AirDrop or Opera’s My Flow. Here is the direct browser. Drop is currently only available to Microsoft Edge Insiders running the latest version available on the Canary channel. So even if you’re on the Canary channel, you may not see the feature yet.
