If you’re someone who follows technology news regarding Microsoft, you’re probably aware of how the company, like almost every major company at the moment, is obsessed with artificial intelligence, and in particular its Copilot range of products and related services.

Recently, the technology giant published a blog post explaining why Copilot will be needed. And although it’s still buggy, Microsoft knows the popularity of Windows 10 so they added it to Windows 10 as well to increase Copilot’s reach.

It seems that Microsoft is not very happy with the reaction so far and is doing its best to create more excitement and interest among users. Company CEO Satya Nadella’s comparison of Copilot to the Start button in Windows can be seen as one of these efforts.

According to Nadella’s statement, Copilot is an innovation that is a candidate to be the manager of all your application experiences, like the Start button. For example, when you go here and say your request, it directs you to an application or brings the application to Copilot. Thus, it helps you learn, question and create. So it’s clear that Microsoft recognizes Copilot as something with great potential, similar to the revolutionary Start button in Windows.

But it’s hard to see Microsoft repeating its mistake once again by removing the Start button and replacing it with Copilot. The company has been moving this button around a lot lately anyway, as it’s not sure where it would best be placed.

Rumor has it that the next generation of Windows will include a feature called “enhanced Copilot” and this feature will probably further improve the capabilities that Copilot currently has.
