Windows 11 latest update breaks Task Manager

About Microsoft related issue “After installing update KB5020044, Task Manager may display some elements in user interface (UI) in unexpected colors. Task Manager should work as expected on affected devices, but parts of the UI may not be readable.” made the statement.

How to fix Windows 11 Task Manager problem?

If you have Windows 11 Task Manager problem and you can’t see some parts of it, go to Settings > Personalization and set the “Choose your mode” option in Colors to Dark or Light. This issue is seen in mods set to “Custom”.

Microsoft states in its statement that they have started working for a solution and that they will fix the problem by releasing an update shortly. On the other hand, it should be noted that the problem is not experienced by everyone. In my experiments on my own system, I did not encounter any problems with the three different color mode settings. If you are having a problem, you can apply the workaround above.
