AI-powered Bing or Bing Chat continues to spread slowly across Microsoft’s products. A while ago, Microsoft added Bing Chat to Skype and Edge. Then Office Copilot, powered by Bing, was announced. Now Bing is being brought to SwiftKey, which is popular on smartphones.

New Bing doping to SwiftKey

The new Bing integration will be available to SwiftKey Beta Android users for now. Bing Chat integration within SwiftKey includes the usual chat mode that provides access to the chatbot, or a tone mode that retypes any text directly inside the keyboard. Pedram Rezaei, Microsoft’s mobile and commerce CTO, confirmed on Twitter that the feature is “slowly rolling out”, but there’s no word on when SwiftKey iOS users will be able to try it out.

Although AI Chat is available in Bing’s mobile app, Microsoft has turned to its own SwiftKey to deliver it to more people. The tonal feature brought to SwiftKey will also offer a separate and rich perspective. SwiftKey Beta offers a special section that lets you tailor your messages to four styles or tones: Professional, Casual, Polite, and Social.
This may not sound very useful, but on the contrary, it is a very useful feature. For example, you may have difficulties when you want to say something formally or politely in a language that is not your mother tongue. SwiftKey already includes a translation feature. When this is combined with the incoming tone feature, similar problems will be prevented.
