Microsoft has announced that it will no longer manufacture mice, keyboards and webcams under its own brand. The IT giant will now continue to produce PC accessories and peripherals under the Surface sub-brand.
Microsoft introduced its first mouse 40 years ago
According to the statements made by Microsoft senior communications manager Dan Laycock, existing Microsoft-branded PC accessories such as mice, keyboards and webcams will continue to be sold until stocks run out.
Surface devices generally receive good reviews from reviewers and users and are positioned as premium accessories. For this reason, it is thought that affordable keyboards and mice designed by Microsoft engineers and designers will no longer be on the shelves. Microsoft, which has been designing mice and keyboards for nearly 40 years, introduced the first mouse, which it offered for sale under its own brand, in 1983.
