Windows 10 22H2 will be the last version of this operating system. The software giant will continue to release monthly security updates for the remainder of the operating system’s lifecycle. Let us remind you that official support for Windows 10 will end on October 14, 2025.

Call for migration to Windows 11

Microsoft also reiterated its call for users to upgrade to Windows 11. Emphasizing that Windows 11 is the newest operating system that offers the highest level of security, the company underlined that Windows 11 is constantly gaining new features.

Released in 2015, Windows 10 has periodically received major updates and gained new features since then. The last major update was released in the fall of 2022. Although the popularity of Windows 11 is increasing rapidly, Windows 10 still holds the highest market share with 73.48%.
