Windows 11, released by Microsoft in October last year, received great criticism from users due to its TPM requirement. The company, which did not take a step back from its decision in the intervening time, accidentally shared the new operating system for unsupported PCs.
Microsoft said it was a bug
Windows Insider Program members who reportedly noticed the bug encountered an update notification for ‘version 22H2’ on unsupported Windows 10 and 11 devices. After removing the update from the servers after the error, Microsoft said, “This is a bug and the right team is investigating it.”
Microsoft is laying off hundreds of employees in Russia
While it’s quite rare for Microsoft to accidentally send an update to devices, the bug was that many users believe Windows 11 will now be supported on more computers. While it was reported that the update was not accidentally installed on any device, Microsoft clarified the situation again by stating that they have no plans to change the requirements.
