Spanish football clubs FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF have rolled up their sleeves for a common cryptocurrency and metaverse.
Metaverses and NFTs, which saw peaks in transaction volume in the past year, are in demand despite the decrease in volume in the second quarter of 2022. Organizations, brands and celebrities around the world are getting involved by creating products related to blockchain technologies.

According to the news in Finbold, trademark lawyer Mike Kondoudis’s Twitter post states that Real Madrid and Barcelona have filed a joint trademark application.
In his tweet, Mike Kondoudis explained that Spanish football teams FC Barcelona and Real Madrid have filed a joint trademark application covering the following.

As part of the partnership decision taken by El Clásico rivals on 5 August; virtual reality games, virtual clothing, shoes and hats, cryptocurrency transaction management software and more.
Incidentally, these two football giants are not the first clubs to become involved in the rapidly growing NFT and metaverse domains. Earlier in July, English football club Crystal Palace also filed a trademark application for its coat of arms, covering NFTs, cryptocurrencies, crypto exchanges, virtual apparel, sportswear and more.
