According to the news of Business Insider, giant restaurant chain McDonald’s has filed a US Patent and Trademark Agreement on February 4 to create virtual restaurants on metaverse platforms. He applied for a trademark to the Trademark Office. It was also among the statements that the giant company made 10 applications to open McDonald’s restaurants and McCafe, and plans to offer home delivery and virtual food and beverage services to its customers.

To give more details; Some of the applications were made to sell virtual food and beverage products, including NFTs, while others were for a virtual restaurant that could deliver to the real-life homes of people in the metaverse. It was also among the news that events such as virtual concerts under the McDonald’s and McCafe brands were among the metaverse targets of the giant company.

Famous trademark lawyer Josh Gerben also made a statement on the company’s move on Twitter, “You get hungry when you hang out in the Metaverse. Thanks to these virtual restaurants, you do not need to remove your headphones or the tools you use. You can go to a McDonald’s restaurant in the Metaverse and place an order. After a short while, your food will be delivered to your door” and noted that more brands will make such applications in the coming months.
