Since Twitter was bought by Elon Musk, there has been a lot of change on the social platform, and alternative applications to Twitter have emerged, which those who are not satisfied with Musk’s decision can turn to. Mastodon, soon after the founder of Twitter, Jack Dorsey’s Bluesky application was released. Now, a new application is coming under Meta’s Instagram brand. The first screenshots from the application, whose name is not yet known, were shared.

The app’s interface is pretty similar to Instagram, but its homepage shows text-based posts instead of a photo and video feed. Of course, users will be able to add photos, videos, links to their posts, just like on Twitter. Other users will be able to reply and create threads. Users will have the option to follow accounts they already follow on Instagram with one tap. Users will be able to determine who can reply and talk about what they write. Posts will be limited to 500 characters.

Meta’s new application, which will integrate with Mastodon and other platforms, will be out by the end of June. The platform is said to be in development with a small number of creators at the moment.
