The popular Ethereum wallet MetaMask has started preparing a plan for victims of fraud.
MetaMask has partnered with recovery specialist Asset Reality under this plan.
MetaMask will help victims of crypto scams and phishing attacks recover or try to recover their lost assets.
The company said today it will be working in partnership with London-based Asset Reality, an expert in researching and recovering stolen crypto assets.
MetaMask administrator Alex Herman said that MetaMask, which currently has more than 30 million monthly active users, has seen a lot of requests for help with phishing attacks.
“We wanted to offer users something good. So, the partnership with Asset Reality offers users a way to initiate an investigation to recover their stolen funds”
Herman stated that on average, users lost $25,000 from fraudulent attacks.
Asset Reality CEO, Aidan Larkin, said:
“We’re not saying you can get your money back tomorrow. These are pretty complex cases. We will have the opportunity to identify stolen assets held on platforms around the world and return them to their owners”
