Konami announced today that some of its Metal Gear Solid games will be removed. The reason is the licensing problems.

According to the developer’s statement, Metal Gear Solid games, whose full list you can find below, will be temporarily removed from digital storefronts. Underlining that this process is completely temporary, Konami also states that the games affected by this problem will be restored shortly after.

This kind of licensing issues with Metal Gear Solid games is nothing new. Previously, Alan Wake was temporarily removed from distribution due to the expiration of the music license in 2017, and it was again on the showcase in 2018 with the support of Microsoft.
