Parents will see who their child is messaging, but not the message content
Meta introduced a new set of safety tools aimed at giving parents more oversight of their teens’ activities in Messenger and Instagram DMs. So now parents can see how much time their teens are spending on Messenger, get updates on changes to their contact lists and privacy settings, and get a notification if their teen decides to block another user.
After Meta rolled out these new features, “Today’s updates are designed to help teens feel in control of their online experience and parents feel equipped to support their teens.” also made statements.
