While the NFT sector is developing day by day, the studies in this field have gained momentum. As it is known, Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, had started testing NFTs on Instagram in the past months. A new move came from Meta, which continues to work on this issue. The company has started rolling out NFTs on Facebook for US creators. On top of that, Meta said that it will continue its NFT move despite the fluctuations in the crypto market.
Meta Won’t Change NFTs Plans In Any Way
Meta’s new head of fintech, Stephane Kasriel, said in an interview that the company’s plans for NFTs have not changed in any way.
Stephane Kasriel said on the subject:
The opportunity Meta sees is to be able to collect digital collectibles and potentially create virtual and digital products there for the hundreds of millions or billions of people who use our apps today.
Additionally, Meta offers NFTs a way to monetize their content, which could otherwise be dragged into TikTok. Finally, earlier this month, Meta started testing Polygon and Ethereum-based NFTs among selected users on Facebook.
