Motor sports enthusiasts are in Turkey right now. As of tomorrow, Turkey will host Formula 1, the most popular motor sport in the world. While the countdown was underway for Formula 1 fans, an error in a post by Mercedes did not go unnoticed. The race poster prepared by the Mercedes team for the Turkish GP and shared on social media was showing our flag incorrectly.
Mercedes’ F1 car, a car, a hot air balloon and the Turkish Flag are on the image in the post prepared by Mercedes for Turkey. However, the positions of the crescent and star on the Turkish flag are clearly different from the position described in the Turkish Flag Law.
The poster shared by Mercedes with the “Hello Turkey” statement is as follows:
As you can see in the image above, the crescent and star in the section where the Turkish Flag is tried to be created are very independent from each other. However, according to the standard measurements of the Turkish Flag, the place where the crescent begins and the place where the star begins must be the same. It is unknown whether this mistake was made on purpose or not.
