Mercedes, with its new statement, announced that it has recalled thousands of vehicles. According to the statement, the company has decided to recall more than 140,000 new vehicles. Reasons for this decision include problems with the rear camera not turning on in vehicles and a potentially loose ground wire.

126,443 CLA Series, GLE/GLS Series, A Series, C Series, E Series, E Series Coupe/Cabrios produced between 2020-2021 due to the problem in the rear view camera , GLA/GLB Series, GLC Series, CLS Series and EQC cars are being recalled. According to the statement, the backup camera does not provide image transfer when necessary or gives a warning to its users.

Stating that this error is caused by software, Mercedes-Benz states that this error will disappear with the software update to be made in the vehicles’ brains. The second reason for calling was that the vehicles had a loose 48V ungrounded wire under the passenger seat.

According to the published paper, some of these bugs are from 2020-2022 GLE450, GLS450, 2021-2022 AMG GLE53, 2020-2021 GLE580, GLS580, 2021 AMG GLE63, Maybach GLS600 and AMG GLS63. models are affected.
