The Mercedes-Benz EQE finally gets an SUV version. In its latest promotion, the German automaker introduced the EQE electric SUV model, which has a higher, wider range of use, to car lovers. The vehicle is expected to be on the roads in 2023.
Announced at the introduction of the EQE sedan model last year, the SUV version will be recorded as the fourth car to be produced on the company’s new electric car platform.
Short SUV from the sedan version
The new EQE Suv has a nine-centimeter shorter wheelbase than the sedan version. Mercedes said this would give the vehicle greater maneuverability. The company also stated that the vehicle will have the largest interior volume in its class.
The vehicle will have three different engine options. One of these options will have rear-wheel drive. The other two models will come with twin engines. On a full charge, it can travel 550 kilometers. Of course, it may not be possible to reach this distance in practice.
The EQE SUV will come with a power unit that produces 288 horsepower. In the four-wheel drive version, this power will increase to 536 horsepower. Those who can buy the AMG version of the vehicle, which is currently expected to be sold for several million liras, will enjoy a 677 horsepower engine with 21 inch wheels.
On the front panel, a 12.8-inch OLED touchscreen will appear. There will also be a 12.3-inch instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. Of course, features such as MBUX digital assistant and HVAC-plus audio experience, which are also found in other luxury models of Mercedes, will also be found in these models. Software updates of the vehicle will also be carried out in the form of OTA.
There is no information about the price of the car at the moment, but it is stated that it will have a 6-digit price in dollars and euros.
