Following the 470 hp SL55 4Matic+ and 577 hp SL63 4Matic+ models introduced last year, Mercedes-AMG has lifted the veil on the entry-level SL43 model, which stands out with its features. The SL, which previously appeared with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, has a very different power unit this time.
Nearly 60 years later, an SL model will once again house the four-cylinder engine. The new Mercedes-AMG SL43 with a 2.0-liter power unit also includes Formula 1 technology.

The German brand is working on a rechargeable hybrid version of the SL model, as well as the SL43. Equipped with a 4.0-liter V8 and electric motor, the system currently powers the AMG GT 63 E Performance. We can see the power unit, which can produce 842 horsepower and 1,400 Nm of torque, in the SL soon.
