Meizu conducted a survey on the form factor of its first foldable phone that it plans to launch. The Chinese brand, which was bought by the automaker Geely, took the opinion of the consumers on the design of the device that will allow it to step into this segment.

The company has released images of three types of foldable phones currently on the market. That is, the screen that folds inwards or outwards horizontally, and the Galaxy Z Flip-style vertical foldable model. Users were asked to vote for their preferred option.
Which one do users prefer?
As a result, 76.3% of the respondents voted for the vertical foldable design. The Galaxy Fold-style classic form factor scored 17.8%, while the fold-out screen option was preferred by less than 6% of users.
Meizu has not yet officially announced when it will launch its first foldable phone. However, judging by the survey results, the company’s first foldable phone will be a vertically foldable Galaxy Z Flip-style model.
