Since there is no licensing problem in Western countries, ARM architecture can be used comfortably, but open source RISC-V architecture attracts more attention in embargoed countries such as China and Russia. Brands such as Huawei and Alibaba have developed their own RSIC-V processors.
What is a ROME laptop?
Developed by Chinese Xcalibyte and DeepComputing, the ROMA laptop model is a RISC-V-based development platform and is the first in the world. It is based on a 4-core RISC-V processor, graphics unit, artificial intelligence engine, LPDDR4/4X RAM up to 16GB, storage up to 256GB, Linux support.
Additionally, there is a MetaMask-like crypto wallet, blockchain POS integration, a Web3 platform for creating NFTs. The first MetaVerse-oriented computer system definition is made for ROME.
The pre-demand period for ROME has begun. The first 100 customers will receive gifts in the form of a special NFT piece for ROMA and a personalized laser engraving on the cover. The price is currently unknown.
