AI ‘model’ earns thousands of dollars
Faced with disruptions last summer due to a decline in the number of clients and influencers or models causing delays in projects, Rubén Cruz created the artificial intelligence-supported 25-year-old model Aitana with his team. Developed by a design agency called The Clueless, Aitana is never late for her schedules.
Behind the scenes of Aitana’s reality projected onto people, The Clueless team organizes Aitana’s life, plans her week, and decides on her activities with a unique blend of artificial intelligence and design expertise. Aitana’s success also led to the birth of her slightly more reserved sister, Maia. The agency receives a lot of requests from brands that want virtual models. A future is envisioned where these virtual models will replace real people as brand ambassadors.
There are serious risks
The fashion world and influencers can turn into a huge source of income for agencies to create perfect virtual characters, but this also brings significant risks. There are growing concerns that these virtual models set unrealistic standards and have the potential to influence younger generations.
The agency defends itself by underlining that they only reflect the current aesthetic set by real influencers and brands. On the other hand, while The Clueless reshapes the modeling world with artificial intelligence creations, discussions continue on the impact of virtual perfection on society and potential changes in the advertising industry.
