Aliens were featured in a recent advertisement for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 Bespoke Edition, and Samsung’s new mascot will also be an alien. Because the company has already patented the G-nusmas trademark.

G-nusmas may perform at Galaxy Unpacked event

At the end of July, Samsung applied to the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) for the G-nusmas trademark. The documents contain a 3D rendering of the future mascot, and the mascot looks like a smiling alien derived from a cartoon. It could mean that G-nusmas could be the face of Samsung’s new service, or the exclusive Galaxy Z Flip 3 Bespoke Edition in general.

There is of course a reason why Samsung chose the seemingly meaningless word G-nusmas. G-nusmas represents Samsung written in reverse, separated by hyphens. It is highly likely that Samsung will use G-nusmas during the Galaxy Unpacked event, where it announces its new foldable smartphones.
