MediaTek has announced the Dimensity 9000 chipset, which will be used in a number of flagship phones in 2022. Dimensity 9000, which is the world’s first 4nm processor and rivals Apple’s A15 processor with its features, is also claimed to be in the rhythm of the Apple A16 Bionic processor, which is expected to be included in the iPhone 14.
While MediaTek is transitioning to the 4 nm production process with the Dimensity 9000, it also raises the core frequencies. The processor has 1 high-performance Cortex-X2 core running at 3.05 GHz, while it has 3 Cortex-A710 cores running at 2.85 GHz and 4 efficiency-oriented Cortex-A510 cores with a frequency of 1.8 GHz.
In addition to these, Arm Mali-G710 GPU, designed in a 10-core structure, is also included in the chipset. With this, MediaTek heralds that the AI processing performance will be 4 times higher than its predecessor, the Dimensity 1200, and it will draw less energy.
Dimensity 9000 also supports 320 MP images. Of course, although it is not possible to see these resolutions on any phone at the moment, we say why not in the near future. In addition, Dimensity 9000, which is the first chipset to support Bluetooth 5.3, also supports Wi-Fi 6E.
Although it is not known which smartphone with the first Dimensity 9000 processor will be at the moment, we will see the first model in 2022.
