MediaTek has announced 2 new premium chipsets designed for its flagship 5G mobile devices. The new processors, called Dimensity 8000 and Dimensity 8100, are a sign that the company is aiming for the top in the flagship smartphone market.
Introducing its new processors at the MWC 2022 event, MediaTek will bring a new breath to the company’s current portfolio. MediaTek, which brings together 4 Arm Cortex-A78 cores and Arm Mali-G610 MC6 GPU, is positioning the latest AI processing unit in its new processor.
Phones that support the introduced new MediaTek processors are expected to be available at the end of this quarter at a price of between $500 and $700.
