MediaTek’s annual revenue increased by 50 percent
According to the report of Counterpoint Technology Market Research, MediaTek in the processor world had a record revenue of 17.6 billion dollars by the end of 2021. This was the company’s largest income statement to date. So much so that the company showed a great increase of 53 percent in its revenues based on 2020. The biggest reason for this growth is 5G and Wi-Fi 6 technology.
The company made a fast entry to 2022 as well. Continuing to work on the Dimensty processor series, the company came to the fore with the Wi-Fi 7 technology, which was introduced for the first time in the world recently. According to the presentation, Wi-Fi 7 technology will be 2.4 times faster than Wi-Fi 6. In addition, MediaTek introduced its new processor Kompanio 1380 a few days ago.
According to analysis companies, MediaTek will continue to grow in the coming period. The company may show an increase of 10 percent in this period compared to the last quarter of 2021. This growth is expected to correspond to approximately 5.1 billion dollars. One of the biggest shareholders in this growth is undoubtedly the release of Dimensity 9000.
Analysis companies are of the opinion that this growth will also be a big step for the leadership in the smartphone processor market. Expectations are for it to be the leader of the smartphone market by the end of the first quarter of 2022. It is thought that MediaTek will take a significant slice of the market share with 39 percent. According to estimates, Qualcomm will take the second place with 29 percent.
