MediaTek Dimensity 7400 series focused on artificial intelligence and game was introduced
Qualcomm’s eternal rival MediaTek in the smartphone chipset market has announced three new chipsets focusing on artificial intelligence performance: Dimensity 7400 and Dimensity 7400x.

MediaTek Dimensity 7400 and 7400X processor features

MediaTek Dimensity 7400 and 7400x, 4 nm processors and four high-performance ARM Cortex-A78 core (up to 2.6 GHz) and four-power-saving Cortex-A55 core (up to 2.0 GHz) and an eight-core CPU. MediaTek claims that these processors consume 14 % – 36 %less power than competitors during the game. The Dimensity 7400 series also includes MediaTek Advancek Advanced Gaming Technology 3.0, which promises more fluent game experience, better graphics, reduced delay and longer game sessions.

MediaTek says that the 7400 series provides 15 %better performance than Dimensity 7300. Image signal processor (ISP) uses artificial intelligence for advanced photography, including Google Ultra HDR support, advanced contrast and more vivid colors. ISP also produces sharper images under low light conditions.

The MediaTek 7400 series can be used on foldable phones with dual screen support. They have Wi-Fi 6E and operator merging for faster, safer download and loading speeds.

MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processors are already on sale, while Dimensity 7400 and 7400X processors are expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2025.
