Dimensity 7200 Ultra introduced
According to the official announcement made today, MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra is based on the 4nm fabrication process, similar to its predecessor Dimensity 7200. At this point, the processor, powered by two 2.8GHz Cortex A715 cores and six 2.0GHz Cortex A510 efficiency cores, will be accompanied by the Mali-G610 GPU. In addition, MediaTek preferred both LPDDR4x and LPDDR5 RAM support.
Competition is heating up at the mid-level
In addition, Dimensity 7200 Ultra, which brings standards such as 5G support, GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System), dual 5G standby, will offer support for Full HD + displays up to 200 MP resolution and 144Hz, as well as 4K30FPS video recording when it comes to imaging capabilities. Additionally, it features the HyperEngine 5.0 gaming engine for variable rendering, intelligent control and more.
Other features of the processor include fifth-generation MediaTek APU 650 for AI processing, 14-bit HDR image processing thanks to the Imagiq 765 ISP, encoding support for HEVC and H.264 formats, and compatibility with AV1 and VP-9 codecs. MediaTek has not announced which devices will be supported by Dimensity 7200 Ultra. However, in the past hours, Xiaomi confirmed that the Redmi Note 13 Pro + model will be powered by Dimensity 7200 Ultra. The smartphones are expected to be launched with a 200MP camera sensor this month.
