McDonald’s Hong Kong has signed a pioneering collaboration with popular metaverse coin project The Sandbox. In this context, McDonald’s is creating a metaverse playground called McNuggets® Land. He designed this online paradise to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Chicken McNuggets. Also, this news comes with a number of digital and physical awards.
By diving into McNuggets® Land, users can interact with game characters modeled after McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets, participate in various mini-games, explore a virtual gallery that chronicles the 40-year history of Chicken McNuggets, and even serve iconic treats to customers in the virtual world. At the heart of this interactive digital playground, 100,000 SAND awaits participants. There are also various prizes, including a shared prize pool of mystery boxes. Exclusively for Hong Kong users, there is a shared pool of 10,000 McNuggets coupons. Plus, ten winners will enjoy one year of free Chicken McNuggets.

Randy Lai, CEO of McDonald’s Hong Kong, made a statement on the subject. McDonald’s Hong Kong’s collaboration with The Sandbox is the latest of hundreds of global brands and IPs, many of which are currently preparing a virtual brand experience for their audience.
