Payment giant Mastercard has signed with Polygon (MATIC) for the Mastercard Artist Accelerator, a Web3 project it developed for musicians.

Institutional interest in the crypto industry is increasing day by day. Many companies are working hard on topics such as blockchain, metaverse, Web3 and NFT. In particular, Web3 became the most popular technological enterprise on the radar of global companies. Global payment giant Mastercard has signed a new study in the field of Web3. The company, which created the Web3 project for musicians, made an agreement with Polygon for the infrastructure. Mastercard stepped up work for its Web3 project Mastercard Artist Accelerator.

Mastercard to Move with Polygon in Web3 Project

Global payment giant Mastercard, with a market value of 353 billion dollars, will act with Polygon (MATIC) for its Web3 project.

The program created by Mastercard will allow musicians to establish their brands and manage their careers in the Web3 environment. In addition, the payments giant is optimistic about the possibilities Web3 technology can offer in the music industry.

Mastercard Artist Accelerator, which will be based on Polygon, made history as the first of its kind. The program will provide artists with opportunities such as printing NFT, using the virtual world actively, and benefiting from Web3 experiences.

The company will nominate five musicians for the program. For those who were not selected, an NFT collection called Mastercard Music Pass will be created. The program will conclude with an artist exhibition that will be broadcast live later in the year.

“Web3 has the potential to empower a new breed of artists who can build a fan base, make a living, and offer new mediums for self-expression and connection on their own terms,” said Ryan Watt, CEO of Polygon Studios.
