A new era has begun in the COVID-19 epidemic. Making statements after the Scientific Committee convened today, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced that the HES code and the mask requirement in the open air were lifted.
According to the new decisions, the obligation to wear masks in the open air has been completely removed. In closed environments, if the ventilation is sufficient and there is sufficient distance, we do not have to wear a mask again. Minister Koca added the following information: “We continue to use masks in closed areas where the distance is not maintained, in closed areas of airplanes, buses, theaters, cinemas, health institutions and schools.”
HES code application has also been completely deactivated. For all institutions and organizations, the HES code asked at the entrance will no longer be asked.
Changes were also made in the rules applied in schools. Accordingly, the application of “closing the class if 2 students test positive” has been disabled. There will be absolutely no class closure any more, only the isolation of the positive student will be ensured.
The final decision is about tests. Testing will no longer be required from those who show no signs of illness.
Koca also stated in his speech that we will fight our next fight with the help of vaccines.
