READING NOW Mark Zuckerberg’s investment in the metaverse was disappointing!

Facebook changed the name of its umbrella company to Meta to turn to the concept of the metaverse. Considering that the future is in this field, the company continues its activities in this direction. While the Metaverse universe was eagerly awaited, Mark Zuckerberg’s last share was disappointing.

$10 billion metaverse investment wasted?

Zuckerberg shared an image from Meta’s Horizon Worlds work on Facebook this week. This post of Meta CEO, who said that he is looking forward to “people’s discovering and building immersive worlds”, has drawn a great reaction.

Meta invested $10 billion in the metaverse universe last year. As a result of this investment, we came across a miniature Eiffel Tower and an avatar of Mark Zuckerberg, which is far from reality. This visual was far from the expectations of many people who were eagerly waiting for the metaverse universe.

Nobody expected such a visual as a result of the project, which has been worked on for a long time and made great investments. While reactions to Zuckerberg on this issue increased, Meta’s new universe was compared to the Second Life 2007 game.

Everyone expected a much better visual from such a big project. We think that with more realistic graphics, the metaverse universe can attract more people. Horizon Worlds, on the other hand, does not look very heartwarming.

On the other hand, Zuckerberg may want to lower expectations with this visual and surprise users with better graphics in the future. We will be able to see Meta’s plans for the metaverse only in the coming years.

The image shared by Mark Zuckerberg disappointed us as well as everyone else. So what do you think about Mark Zuckerberg’s investment in the metaverse? Do you think it will be successful? You can share your views with us in the comments section.
