Famous billionaire Mark Cuban said in a recent interview that he thinks Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, will be “super bullish”.
The Ethereum Merge, which is expected to happen in less than a month, is estimated to significantly reduce Ethereum’s energy consumption by 1,000 times. Mark Cuban rated this as an “important” factor that could strengthen Ethereum’s bull status. Still, the billionaire refrained from making any concrete price predictions as he did not know how the Ethereum price would react to the Merge upgrade in the short term. Besides that, Cuban believes there will be enough applications to drive adoption of the second largest network.

Mark Cuban has been on the agenda for a while with his positive talks about Ethereum. Last November, he went so far as to describe himself as “Ethereum maxi” to underline his preference for Bitcoin rival. Cuban believes that Ethereum is superior because of its benefits.
According to data provided by DefiLlama, Ethereum still accounts for 58 of the pie in terms of total value (TVL) locked in the cryptocurrency industry. Claiming that bananas have more benefits than Bitcoin, the Dallas Mavericks owner has since warmed up to Bitcoin, the largest cryptocurrency. He says he now sees Bitcoin as a store of value in direct competition with gold. At the same time, Cuban remains highly skeptical of Cardano, one of Ethereum’s top competitors.
