Risky vulnerability in Nintendo games
The vulnerability called ENLBufferPwn, which has been on the agenda before, caused the attacker to infiltrate the system of a player with whom he was matched online and steal his credit card information or account.
This vulnerability was patched in many games such as Mario Kart 7, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Nintendo Switch Sports, Splatoon 2 and 3. However, the same vulnerability was discovered in Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon games. Nintendo has urgently closed the games online.
The company apologizes to players who have suffered due to the deficit. Efforts have begun to quickly rectify the gap. It has not yet been specified when the games will be available again. While Mario Kart 8 sold 8.5 million on the Wii U, Splatoon also reached 5 million sales.
