New Android widget of Google Maps: Live Traffic
The new widget of Google Maps will display traffic in your nearby areas. While this is an already existing feature, it’s the first time that information is displayed in real time in widget form from your home screen.
The new widget is designed as a square tile with a traditional look showing real-time traffic at your current location. Instead of opening the entire program, the widget allows users to see the traffic at a glance. According to Google, this feature will come in handy when you travel to a place you regularly go to, such as work, school or home.
Users can interact with the widget using the corner toggle to zoom in and out. It is unclear at the moment whether this widget will be resizable like other Android widgets.
