Discord servers of many NFT projects, including the most popular NFT projects, were hacked. The attackers tried to defraud people on the servers to embezzle crypto assets and digital arts.

These famous NFT projects include major projects such as Nyoki, Shamanz, Doodles and Kaiju Kingz. But the most popular is the Bored Ape Yacht Club, which everyone familiar with NFT knows. Bored Ape Yacht Club’s Discord server has also been hacked and people are complaining about their accounts being abused.

Owners of NFT Projects were quick to respond

After the cyber-attack of Discord channels of famous NFT projects, the scam messages sent to one of the channels read: “Oh no, it can’t be. Our dogs mutate. MAKC can be staked for APE token. MAYC and BAYC owners can claim special rewards simply by holding our mutant dogs.”

What exactly is this you might be asking, it’s called ‘Minting’. By pretending to sell NFTs, cyber attackers make their victims send Ethereum to their own account, and at some points in the line, they can even send their own NFT.

Managers of NFT projects were quick to respond to this attack and directly informed their users that their profile had been hacked. In fact, Bored Ape Yacht Club, in the post it shared on Twitter, told its users, “Be careful. Do not send anything from Discord at this time. An attack has occurred on our Discord server. “We responded immediately, but our other Discord servers are also under attack right now,” he said.
