The closure of the Apple Store’s website in the past hours brought one question to mind, “Is there a price increase for the iPhone again?”. However, it was later revealed that the reason for this closure was not the price hike, but the introduction of the new iPad and iPad Pro.
Of course, Apple did much more than just introduce new iPads and introduced both the new macOS version and the new Apple TV. Let’s take a closer look at the new MacOS and Apple TV introduced together.
Introducing MacOS Ventura
Ventura, the newest version of macOS, is much more user-friendly and functionality-oriented compared to the previous version. Especially if you are constantly sending and receiving e-mails, the new features that come with Ventura will come in handy. Thanks to features such as e-mail scheduling, snooze and advanced e-mail search, you will be able to find the e-mails you are looking for much more easily and make arrangements much more easily.
In addition, Spotlight, the popular search application of macOS, now makes it much easier to find your photos, notes and other content, apart from applications and documents. Now you can effortlessly perform actions such as setting alarms, taking notes, and adding reminders using Spotlight.
The feature called “Pass Key”, which was previously introduced by Apple, is also offered to MacOS users in this version. Thanks to the Passkey, you can only use biometric authentication instead of entering a username and password when logging into applications and websites.
Perhaps the biggest innovation of macOS Ventura was the Scene Manager feature. Thanks to this feature, you can pin your recently used applications to the left side of the screen individually or by grouping them. Afterwards, you can access these applications and increase your functionality by simply swiping your mouse to the left edge.
“Thread” support for Apple TV 4K
Another Apple product introduced today was the new Apple TV 4K. The most striking feature of the new generation Apple TV introduced this year is the addition of the ethernet port to the device, which Apple TV users with high storage have been waiting for a long time. The Ethernet port was only available on 32 and 64 GB models in previous models. In addition, Apple TV 4K now supports a wide-ranging mesh system called “Thread”.
Thread means that smart devices connected to the same network in the house communicate with each other continuously without the need for a center. In other words, thanks to Thread support, you will be able to control Apple TV 4K using your iPhone, iPad or HomePod Mini without the need for a remote.
It has been announced that MacOs Ventura, which Apple introduced today, will be released on Monday, October 24. Apple TV 4K, on the other hand, will be available with 64 and 128 GB storage options, starting at $129.
