MacOS 15.4 RC has been released but new Macs could not be updated!
Apple released MacOS 15.4 RC version for compatible Macs. However, some of the M4 MacBook Air and M4 Max/M3 Ultra Mac Studio users said they could not update the latest MacOS 15.4 beta version. So, why didn’t the latest Macs be updated?

When users tried to download and upload MacOS 15.4 RC version, “MacOS could not be downloaded. Make sure you are connected to the Internet and try again or contact Apple for help” encountered an error message.

Apple has not provided the appropriate password -solving switch for M4 ‌Macbook Air‌ and ‌Mac Studio‌ models to install the update. Apple encrypts software updates and requires a password -solving key to the server side for installation. For new Macs, the key is currently not available from Apple’s software server.

This problem does not affect the new ‌Macbook Air‌ and ‌MacBook Studio‌ models with MacOS 15.4 Beta 4 installed, these computers can upload the version candidate.
