Apple introduced its new processor, the M1 Ultra, at its event on March 8. It turned out that the company is working on the Apple MacBook Pro model with the M2 processor. According to the leaked information, new models will be released this year.
The new iPhone SE, iPad Air with M1 processor, Mac Studio and Studio Display models were presented to users at the Apple event. The introduced M1 Ultra model has 20 cores and 64 graphics cores. The processor, which comes with 128 GB of RAM support, has 114 billion transistors.
Apple MacBook Pro with M2 processor will be introduced this year
9to5Mac announced that Apple continues to work on the MacBook Air with Apple Silicon M2 chipset, code J413. The developed M2 processor will have 8 cores and 10 graphics cores. It is estimated that the M2, which is stated to be inspired by the Apple A15 Bionic processor, will have similar results to the M1 processor in terms of performance.
J439 13-inch MacBook Pro model is also among the leaked information that will come with the M2 processor. It is stated that the new model will have the same design as the current 13-inch MacBook Pro model. It is claimed that the Pro label will not be used in the model that will be introduced with the same processor as the MacBook Air. The company last launched the standard MacBook model in 2017.
13-inch MacBook Pro with M1 processor was the same design as the previous generation Intel processor model. Apple came up with an updated design in 14 and 16 inch models. It is estimated that the company will not offer the display and connectivity option update on the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro to users on the 13-inch model this year.
