READING NOW Mac mini with M2 Pro processor appeared on Geekbench: more powerful than M1 Max
Leaving Intel processors in 2020, Apple managed to create wonders with its M1 processors. After the M2 processor introduced in the past months, the company has now announced the M2 Pro and M2 Max processors. So what will the M2 Pro and M2 Max processors offer?

M2 Pro managed to score higher than M1 Max

The M2 Pro processor, introduced with the new generation Mac mini and MacBook Pro series, appeared on the popular benchmark service Geekbench. With 16GB of unified memory, the M2 Pro managed to score 1952 points in the single-core test and 15013 points in the multi-core test. Mac mini with M1 processor got 1651 and 5181 points. The M2 Pro processor in the MacBook Pro series will also perform similarly to the Mac mini.

Also, as seen in the test, the M2 Pro managed to beat the M1 Max’s 1727 single-core score and 12643 multi-core score. However, let us remind you that this benchmark test is for CPU operations. The top model of the M1 Max will probably give higher graphics performance than the M2 Pro. The new Mac models with M2 Pro and M2 Max processors are available for pre-order and will begin shipping to customers from January 23.
